August 2010 – More Classroom Block Extension Work Secured by Farnrise Central

Farnrise’s Central Region have seured a new project with St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, Crawley.

The £640k project is for the construction of  two new build, single storey extensions to the existing school to provide new classroom blocks.

This will also include external works and landscaping.

August 2010 – Another Education Project with West Sussex County Council for Farnrise Southern

Our Southern Region have secured a new project with West Sussex County Council for works at Bognor Lower School.

The £175k contract is to remove all asbestos and completely demolish the school and all outbuildings/structures and install new perimeter fencing.

August 2010 – General Works Secure a New Project for Pine Ridge School, Surrey

Our General Works department have secured a new project with Pine Ridge Infant and Nursery School, Surrey.

The project consists of an extension to the children’s centre.  The £155k works will include a new office, reception, lobby and WC.

August 2010 – Another Education Sector Project for Farnrise’s Central Region

Farnrise’s Central Region have secured a new project with the Governors of St Lawrence CE Primary School, Hurstpierpoint.

The £390k project involves a classroom extension, the removal of first floor classrooms and reinstatement of a pitched roof.

There will also be various internal alterations to the existing school.

July 2010 – Bishop Opens Farnrise Project at St Mary’s House Chapel, Brighton

Rt Reverand Keiran Conry, Bishop of Arundel & Brighton, blessed the new Chapel at St Mary’s in a  ceremony on Monday 26th July.

Members of the Grace and Compassion Benedictines were in attendance along with some specially invited guests.  Site Manager John Wells and Contracts Manager Lee Preston from Farnrise were also in attendance.

Sister Kathy said, “Thank you to all the Farnrise staff who have worked on site and behind the scenes during this project and to the many people who have given generously of their time, support and encouragement”.

The chapel is a single storey building constructed using a waterproof reinforced concrete structure set back intothe existing banked gardens. It gives the effect that the building is underground and is the first project of its kind that Farnrise have undertaken.

Farnrise have worked with architects John D Clarke and Partners on this interesting build, to create a building that was functional and modern.  The aim was that the building would not encroach too much on the gardens, but in fact become part of them.

 

July 2010 – Thames Valley Region Secure Project with Claycots School for 3 Classroom Extensions

Our Thames Valley Region have secured a new project with the Governors of Claycots School, Slough.

The £450k contract is for the construction of three new classrooom extensions.

July 2010 – General Works Secure the Outreach Centres Project

Our General Works department have secured new work with East Sussex County Council, for the Exemplar Diploma Project.

The three projects included in this are at Ringmer Community College, Claverham Community College and Oathall Community College.

 

                                                                                                                                                                                                  

 

July 2010 – Farnrise Southern Office secure commercial work with Bobby’s Foods PLC

Our Southern Office have secured a new £1.5m project with Bobby’s Foods PLC to construct a new Warehouse Distribution Centre with associated facilities and external works in Bordon.

July 2010 – A Summer of Cricket with Farnrise

With Phase 2 of the Sussex County Cricket Club re-development now underway, Farnrise are more involved than ever as main sponsors of the club.

Over the past 2 months Farnrise have been holding networking days at the county ground, so that staff and clients alike can enjoy the 20/20 matches.

Colin Dent, Group Business Development Director at Farnrise, helped with the toss at the match between Sussex and Surrey at Arundel, along with Sussex mascot Sid the Shark and  the two team captains, Murrey Goodwin for Sussex and Rory Hamilton Brown for Surrey (pictured below).

July 2010 – Farnrise Secure Education Sector Contract with St Paul’s CE School, Brighton

Our Central Region have secured another education sector project, clearly marking it out as our most beneficial sector for work.

The project secured with the Governors of St Paul’s CE School and Nursery is for a £300k extension and alterations to the school.
